Reserved Hatred Is Still Hatred

They think if they mask it, it doesn’t count.

They try to reserve their hatred for you. Hold it in just enough to make it look like they’re neutral, like they’re fair, like they’re “not pressed.” They smile in public and throw shade in private. They pretend they’re rooting for you, but their energy tells the real story.

They don’t want you — or anyone else — to see it. Because if you saw it clearly, if others saw it clearly, they wouldn’t be able to keep up the act. The entire image they built would crack under the weight of their hidden jealousy, bitterness, and judgment.

So they try to play it cool.

They mask it in fake concern.

They disguise it as “advice.”

They hide behind sarcasm and silence.

They whisper and deflect.

They copy and compete.

They do everything but own it.

But energy doesn’t lie. And your spirit picks up on what the eyes can’t see and what the ears can’t hear. You feel it. The tension. The projection. The low-key attacks dressed up as conversation. The way they treat your confidence like a threat.

It’s always in the subtleties. The shade in their silence. The awkwardness in their “congratulations.” The way they’ll repost everybody’s work except yours. The way they’ll praise your personality but never your purpose.

Let them keep it cute for the crowd.

Let them pretend it’s not hate.

Because you know what it is — and you don’t need an audience to validate what you feel.

The truth always finds its way to the light. And even if their hatred stays reserved, quiet, and covered up — it’s still hate.

And hate can’t hide forever.
